Apple iPad Pro Case New Leaked Images Hints Of Possible Design Tweaks: USB Type-C, Speaker Placement

After another batch of leaked photos was revealed earlier this week featuring different designs for the casing of iPad Pro, Apple's upcoming largest tablet at 12 inches. The new group of images was shown online via the French publication Nowhereelse.com.

This time, the tablet cases were pictured with an iPad Air 2 on it to give a clearer view of the possible size of the iPad Pro.

Last March, Nowhereeslse exposed on Twitter that the Apple's iPad Pro tablet measurements are 12.03 x 8.76 x 0.28 inches. The German website Arktis gave new dimensions after obtaining these new tablet cases, and their estimates reveal almost exact same height (12.09 inches) and width (8.74 inches) for its size, while the thickness scaled could be between 0.27 to 0.28 inches. Though these measurements are only speculations for the official size of iPad Pro, it rouses the public's curiosity regarding Apple's newest tablet.

Furthermore, the casing seems to be similar to the unit viewed in some of the photos posted a couple days back by Apple insider Sonny Dickson, known for publishing unreleased Apple products. Its design suggests the tablet will almost resemble the iPad Air 2 with some distinguishing features like opening jacks for stereo speakers on the top and bottom of the casing and another opening on the tablet's left side that is assumed to an added USB-C port or Lightning port. Rumors even suggest that the tablet could include also a USB 3.0 port.

The iPad Pro is rumored to offer thin chassis and slim bezels and will likely carry over several key features of iPad Air 2 like Touch ID, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and an optional stylus accessory. The iPad Pro will probably offer a motion coprocessor with several sensors, including an accelerometer, barometer, GPS, gyroscope and compass functionality. Speculations also reveal it might be shipped with the triple-core A8X processor that was introduced with the iPad Air 2, which, according to Geekbench benchmarks, is up to 55 percent faster than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. The tablet is also expected to be shipped with an operating system of Apple's latest iOS 8 that could feature some upgrades like split-screen multitasking. The iPad Pro's released date has been reported to be around September 2015. An earlier report indicated that Apple planned to release the tablet in early 2015, but the company instead focused its attention on mass producing iPhone 6 Plus units to meet demand.
