It's a huge week for Star Wars fans, thanks in large part to the full reveal of the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront video game from EA. The game will be unveiled tomorrow, April 17 during a panel at Star Wars Celebration, but a number of new images and even a release date for the heavily anticipated title have already found their way online.
No doubt you've already seen the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer. If you haven't, what are you waiting for!? Check it out here. At the end of the trailer, you can find links to other videos, one of them being an unclickable link to the reveal trailer for Star Wars Battlefront. Even if you can't click it, you can still watch a brief clip of what appears to be a cinematic trailer for the game in the small window.
We also have what appears to be our first in-game screenshot for the game. It's a classic speeder bike being driven by an Imperial scout trooper, racing through the forest of what appears to be Endor from Return of the Jedi. It's hard to say if the image below is from the game or from the cinematic trailer, but if you compare the two the image below seems to be different enough that it just might be in-game.
New art for the game has also been revealed. It can currently be found on promotional materials at Star Wars Celebration. Might this be the official Star Wars Battlefront box art?
Last but certainly not least, we have a possible release date. The sleuths over at gaming forum NeoGAF have deduced from the source code of the official Star Wars Battlefront website that the game will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Nov. 17.
So many questions and so few definitive answers. Expect in-game footage, cinematic trailers, a release date and much more to be revealed at the official reveal of Star Wars Battlefront tomorrow.
