Samsung Galaxy S5 Experience app lets you try out the smartphone's best features

Samsung has released the Galaxy S5 Experience app on Google Play to allow users to try out some of the Galaxy S5's best features.

It's widely expected that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be one of the most popular smartphones to be released this year. That hasn't stopped the company from trying to entice more users into trying out its fifth-generation Galaxy S smartphone. Samsung has released a new app through Google Play that was designed to let users take the Galaxy S5 and some of its best features for a test drive.

The Galaxy S5 Experience app can now be downloaded via Google Play. As its name implies, you'll be able to experience some of the Galaxy S5's top features through interactive experience modes. The application is broken up into six different sections; Camera, Speed, Fitness, Gear, and More (additional features and accessories). A tap on the Camera tab allows you to experience the Galaxy S5's camera application and its exclusive features, like HDR (Rich Tone), Fast Auto Focus, and Selective Focus. You get a great demo of how HDR really improves the quality of the images taken. All of the demos also include hands on video for you to watch to get an even better idea of how the features work.

The next area covered in the Galaxy S5 Experience app is "Speed". Samsung has used Wi-Fi MIMO technology in the Galaxy S5. Dual-band Wi-Fi allows for faster and more stable network connections. Samsung also shows off its new networking feature it calls "Download Booster", which uses both the 4G LTE network and its dual-band Wi-Fi simultaneously to give you an even faster connection when you need to download files. Samsung says that it results in "approximately 80 - 90% of the added network speed of LTE and Wi-Fi." There are video demos for all of these as well.

You can then move on to the "Fitness" area, where you get to try out the Galaxy S5's Pedometer, track your exercise progress and review your workout history, and Heart Rate Monitor. The Galaxy S5 ships with a built-in heart rate sensor, which allows you to measure your heart rate directly from the Galaxy S5.

The "Life" section highlights the Samsung Galaxy S5's IP67 dust and water resistance. The "Gear" section shows off Samsung's Gear 2 smartwatch and Gear Fit fitness band. The "More" section shows off the fingerprint scanner and "Ultra Power Saving Mode."

Samsung has done an exceptional job with really giving consumers a very good demonstration of the Galaxy S5's best features. It is a clever way for Samsung to really educate and let possible future Galaxy S5 owners take the smartphone for a spin on your current device.

You can download the Galaxy S5 Experience from Google Play to try it for yourself.
