Extreme Ice Bath Adds Brain Freeze, 'Let It Go' And More

Ever heard of Good Mythical Morning? If not, then clearly you're not one of the YouTube channel's 6.5 million subscribers.

In a nutshell, Good Mythical Morning stars a couple of goofballs named Rhett and Link, who spend about 10-12 minutes every day, Monday through Friday, doing a morning talk show. Guests are rare, off-the-cuff comedy is non-stop, cool science experiments are frequent, and they're not afraid of the occasional stunt.

Such as this one. The show posted on April 15, 2015 was all about Rhett and Link, our lovable co-hosts, taking "extreme ice baths." (Apparently this is a challenge making the rounds on YouTube.)

Pointing out the supposed health benefits of ice bathing, they decide to accept the challenge. But instead of filling a standard tub with ice water, they filled metal tubs that they could submerge almost their entire bodies into, and set themselves a goal of surviving eight long minutes submerged.

Because that's not extreme enough, Rhett and Link also proposed "upping the ante" every two minutes they were in the water. For example, at one point they're both given slushies to drink and intentionally give themselves brain freeze. At another two-minute mark, they're fitted with headphones and belt out "Let It Go" from Frozen.

The results are... Well, our dynamic duo gets through their ordeal, but it's about as awful (and hilarious) as you'd expect.

Incidentally, if you're interested in seeing the entire eight-minute ordeal, including the parts that were skipped over in the video above, Rhett and Link have posted an extra video that contains the entire adventure, uncut.

In case the horrendous torture of ice bathing didn't quite get through to you from this video, Tech Times does not recommend trying this at home.
