Someone Is Trying To Sell 'Batman v. Superman' Trailer Passes On Craigslist For $600

Everyone loves a good movie trailer. If it's done right, a trailer will get everyone excited for a movie without spoiling too much - after all, you still want to be surprised when the movie actually hits. That being said, most people wouldn't go out of their way to just watch one: sure, you might have a webpage up and ready to go when the video goes live, but few people would ever make a trip to a theater just to watch a two-minute clip.

Or, that's what most people thought, but the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer is proving otherwise. The trailer for the upcoming DC film is scheduled to hit IMAX theaters this Monday, and thousands of fans are already getting ready to take a trip just to watch the teaser. Never underestimate the dedication of the fans...or scalpers.

Despite the fact the passes were free, they sold out rather quickly - as such, one New Yorker thought he'd tried to make a bit of easy cash, and is now offering up two passes on Craigslist for the low, low price of $600.

For comparison's sake, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One - two of the most powerful video game systems ever made - are both available for $400. This user is asking for $600 for a two-minute trailer screening...let that soak in.

Even if the Batman v. Superman trailer was the greatest thing to ever hit the silver screen, it's impossible to justify spending $600 on a ticket to see a trailer. Maybe if it was a pass to go see the Hollywood premiere for the actual film, it would make sense...but for the trailer? Of course, the fact that you have to go out of your way to pay this guy $600 for trailer tickets is the cherry on top: you'd think that, for such a ridiculous price, he could at least afford to deliver the tickets himself.

As of this writing, the listing is still live, so - if you really, really want to see that trailer, the tickets should still be up for grabs.

Otherwise, the Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer will debut online in the very near future.
