Farming Simulator 15 is launching a console version soon. While the game promises to carry on its PC roots, it does have some new vehicles and play locations for its loyal gamers.
The new release will feature more than 100 vehicles and tools. It also boasts more than 40 names of licensed manufacturers. These include Ponsse, Deutz-Fahr, Case IH, and New Holland among others. The new console version will be available beginning May 19.
"'Farming Simulator 15' invites you into the challenging world of a modern day farmer. Take on all the challenges of farming life, including working with animals (cows, chicken and sheep), cultivating your land and harvesting crops. Manage and grow your own farm within a huge open world, including an all-new Nordic environment," the game's official site states.
The game is coming to Xbox and PlayStation devices: the Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Gamers can expect to see new graphics and physics engine from the new console version. There is also a new activity, dubbed "woodcutting," to explore and maybe even to show off to fellow gamers. They can enjoy a selection of fully dedicated vehicles and cutting tools.
The new console version will also, for the first time, be available in multiplayer gameplay. This feature is said to be available in the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. Gamers can invite their farmer friends in a game and reach their goals sooner as they increase their productivity. They can share tasks, do collaborative work on bigger farming tasks and be able to develop their farm at a much faster rate. The multiplayer gaming feature allows up to 16 players to work together on the same farm.
Players using their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, however, will not have the same multiplayer gaming feature enjoyed by users of the newer generation consoles.
Farming Simulator 15 now has almost 1 million players who have already discovered the pleasures of farming on their PC and Mac. Other exciting features of the game's console version include a new interface, new visual effects, new gameplay mechanics and an absolutely new and vast gaming environment.
Farming Simulator 15 will be initially available to players in North America and Europe. There's also a new trailer to check out while waiting for its formal launch on May 19.
