7-Eleven's #BYOCUP Day Will Make All Your Slurpee Drinking Dreams Come True

For one day only, 7-Eleven stores across America will let Slurpee lovers bring their own cups to fill to the brim with Slurpee goodness.

That day is this Saturday, April 11 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m at more than 7,000 7-Eleven locations nationwide. It's being called #BYOCup Day and it's going to get crazy. Filling up your cup from home with Slurpee is only going to set you back $1.49.

That means you are going to want to bring the biggest cup, mug, jug, chalice, or tankard you can find and fill it to the top.

However, there are a few rules that go along with the festivities. Rule #1: your Slurpee "cup" to be must fit underneath the Slurpee machine. That means no garbage cans, coolers of inflatable swimming pools. As a test, cardboard cutouts like the one below featuring a 10-inch in diameter hole will be placed near Slurpee machines nationwide. If your container fits through the hole, you are golden.

Rule #2: your cup of choice needs to be an actual water-tight container of some kind. No shoes (that's just gross). No hats. No random objects that are going to be leaking Slurpee all over the floor. That's dangerous for everybody. The last thing you want is to slip and die on the floor of a Slurpee-covered 7-Eleven.

Follow those two rules and you should be all set to drink Slurpee to your heart's content. If you are wondering just how much of a steal this is, let's break down the numbers. A medium, 22 oz Slurpee costs around $1.49. A container that barely fits through 10 inch test-hole can hold close to an entire gallon of Slurpee for the same $1.49 price. That's about three times the Slurpee for the price.

7-Eleven is hoping all the foot traffic to stores nationwide will kick-off the summer Slurpee season. This will be the first time the promotion is done in the U.S., having previously been unleashed upon 7-Eleven stores in Australia, Canada, Malaysia and the Philippines.

You know what to do, Slurpee lovers. Get out there and show the world how it's done. Let April 11, 2015 forever be remembered as the day the United States of America reached its full potential.
