'Deus Ex: Mankind Divided' Leaked But No Release Date Set: What You Should Know

While Square Enix was in the middle of a live-action game on Twitch, news leaked that its cyberpunk IP, Deus Ex, is gearing up for a new entry into the series. The next game will be titled Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

Square Enix is wrapping up a reality game, which has been named Project CKP (Can't Kill Progress). The publisher and developer indicated that the three-day game would conclude with the reveal of a major game, live on the Project CKP Twitch channel.

"Over the next three days, you'll have to make choices at several key moments through the chat, in order to choose which direction you want [the] story to take," stated Square Enix. "Hidden interactive elements also await, with possibly additional content to unlock."

Russian language site Kanobu.RU leaked images of Mankind Divided from a May edition of Game Informer, which will feature the game on its cover.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is set in 2029, two years after the events of Human Revolution. The title of the game suggests that the tensions between humans and transhumans will only escalate in Mankind Divided, after Human Revolution turns the two sides against one another.

Protagonist Adam Jensen will return in Mankind Divided and will be supported by a task force intent on tracking down terroristic transhumans. An augmented human himself, Jensen has picked up several new upgrades over the two years that followed Human Revolution, according to Game Informer.

"We go in depth on some of Jensen's new augmentations that help improve the stealth and combat systems, such as the ability to remote hack electronic objects, fire off his nano blade from a distance, and surround himself with a nearly indestructible nanoshield," stated Game Informer.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. A release date hasn't been revealed yet.
