Usually, flash sales are reserved for Steam and other digital gaming publishers, but it seems that Best Buy wanted in on the mini-sale action: the electronics retailer just launched a gaming sale that's only going to last for a few short hours.
Now, this isn't one of those sales that discounts the entire gaming department: this a focused sale on some older tech, so don't expect a 90% discount on something like an Xbox One.
That being said, if you're looking for some older consoles on the cheap, the four-hour flash sale isn't a bad deal by any stretch of the imagination.
The biggest sales belong to the consoles: namely, the Xbox 360 and the 3DS XL. Microsoft's last console is on sale for only $220 - not bad when you get to pick between two separate bundles with multiple games inside.
The 3DS XL is on sale for $150 across the board, with a selection of colors available (blue, black and red), though there aren't any extra games included with the system.
Of course, it wouldn't be much of a gaming sale without any video games, and while the selection is a bit limited, the discounts make up for it. Sunset Overdrive is only $20 during the sale, and The Order: 1886 is only $30. If you really need something for your new 3DS XL, Steel Diver is only $3 - finally, Ninja Gaiden III: Razor's Edge for the Wii U is only $10, while the Hawkeye figure for Disney Infinity is just $8.
Is it the biggest sale that the retail giant has ever held? No, not by a long shot - but, if you're looking for gaming consoles on the cheap, Best Buy's Four-Hour sale isn't a bad place to go. It's not going to net you the latest tech in gaming, but who doesn't love discounted games?
Just make sure to hurry: Best Buy's Four-Hour Sale only lasts until 4pm EST.
