The New York International Auto Show has been home to a number of exciting new cars and automotive projects.
Concept cars, however, often steal the show at these types of events, and the New York Auto Show is no exception. Here are five of the best concept cars we've seen at the auto show this year.
1. Toyota Supra
BMW and Toyota are teaming up to bring back the Toyota Supra as a $300,000 supercar. The Supra has long been hailed as one of Toyota's greatest cars, and since it was released, fans have been hoping for a follow-up. Featuring beautiful curves and a sleek, futuristic design, the new Toyota Supra is sure to impress if it ever actually makes it to production.
2. Ford Lincoln Continental
Another revival at the New York Auto Show is the Lincoln Continental, being brought back by Ford. The car is extremely spacious on the inside, and no less glamorous.
The new Continental is a little controversial, removing many Lincoln trademarks that many consider now outdated. With beautiful leather seats and a very classy trim, the Lincoln Continental is certainly a way to ride with style.
3. Honda Civic
The Honda Civic has become one of the most bought cars in the world, but that hasn't deterred Honda from wanting to change things up a little. The 2016 concept for the Honda Civic signals a return to a sporty look for the series of cars, offering a very futuristic design that could make any car fan drool.
It's not yet known if the Civic will be made in a hybrid version or when the new design will go into mass production.
4. Aston Martin Vulcan
Aston Martin is one of the most classic brands of cars ever, and the new Vulcan is a perfect example of just how beautiful its cars can be. Only 25 new Vulcans have been built, and they are built using carbon fiber, making it extremely light and sleek.
The car features a 7.0-liter V12 engine with a massive 800 hp. The car is beautiful both inside and out and certainly lives up to the Aston Martin name.
5. Subaru STI Performance
Subaru also unveiled an STI Performance Concept car, offering a lot of information about the future of STI in the U.S. and suggesting that Subaru will finally be offering a selection of STI cars to the American market. The new car is very Subaru-esque, featuring a huge spoiler and a sleek, sporty design.
