LG announces its upcoming midrange smartphones that have the design and features which are usually reserved for premium versions. Dubbed as Magna, Leon, Spirit and Joy, the four smartphones are about to start their global rollout in the next couple of days.
LG first unveiled the smartphones at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress where the models earned high admiration because of their "sophisticated design, optimized performance and effortless user experience" that can cater to a wider range of consumers.
"Millions of customers around the world today are seeking reasonably priced devices that don't sacrifice on looks or features," said president and CEO Juno Cho of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. "Our newest midrange smartphones are designed with both new and experienced users in mind all over the world who know a good deal when they see one."
All the four new smartphones will be available in both 3G and 4G models and will come in varying design features that can either be a metallic rear cover or a plastic patterned cover. Three of them have the Rear Key feature similar to the one found in the current LG G3. This means that the location of the power and volume buttons is placed at the back right beneath the camera lens.
Among the four handsets, the LG Magna has the most impressive specs. It boasts of a 5-inch screen, quad-core processor, 2,540 mAh removable battery and 8 MP camera.
The LG Leon has a 4.5-inch display, 8 MP camera, 1,900 mAh battery and a quad-core processor.
The LG Spirit is slightly bigger with its 4.7-inch HD display. It also has an 8 MP camera, 2,100 mAh battery and quad-core processor.
All run on Android 5.0 Lollipop. They also all have 8 GB memory and 1 GB RAM
The fourth one, LG Joy, features a 4-inch WVGA screen, 5 MP camera and dual-core processor. Other features include 1,900 mAh battery, 4 GB memory, and 512 MB RAM. It also runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop/Android 4.4 KitKat.

"For millions of consumers around the world, the deciding factor on which smartphone to buy isn't how fast or how big it is but how balanced it is. With our new midrange smartphones, more and more customers will be looking to LG for their next handsets."
LG will begin the global rollout of the handsets in the next couple of days. The rollout will start at South America and will then be followed by Asia, Europe, Middle East Africa and North America. Details on pricing are yet to be announced.
