Jell-O shots are a lot of fun to drink (slurp?), but they're not so much fun to make. You've got to make your Jell-O, mix in your alcohol, pour the whole thing into little shot servings and then wait for it all to set in the refrigerator. This is just too much effort for our instant gratification-loving society.
Luckily, we live in an increasingly automated world where inventors are constantly putting their heads together trying to figure out how to satisfy our lazy selves, and someone did just that.
Portland, Ore.-based company Jevo has created the world's first fully automated Jell-O and edible shot machine that works similarly to a pod coffee maker like Keurig. Pods, so hot right now.
All you have to do is choose from one of 20 flavored pods that taste like everything from strawberry to pina colada to celebration cake. Pop the pod into the machine, turn it on and let it do its thing. Ten minutes later, you will have 20 Jell-O shots ready for you and your party guests to down — responsibly, of course.
Although the Jevo would be the greatest thing to happen to house parties since beer pong, one look around the company's website, and it's pretty clear that the machine is being marketed to bars, as Mashable also points out. Bars can even create their own proprietary Jell-O shot flavors to use in the machine, which also has little digital screens embedded in it for companies to place advertisements.
But if you just can't live without the Jevo at your next party, you can head over to the company's website to fill out a form to be notified when the machine becomes available for pre-order. Until then, you'll just have to break out the Jell-O mix every time you want a jiggly, boozy concoction.
