If, for some reason, Vine is your spot for pornographic content, you're now out of luck as Twitter has laid down some new ground rules. No longer will users be able to post porn or sexually explicit content on Vine, and the available porn content will also be removed.
Still, despite Twitter's stance to end porn on Vine, the micro social network will still allow users to post nude contents that are educational, artistic and documentary.
"We introduced Vine to make it easier for people to find, watch, create and share videos right from their mobile phones. As we've watched the community and your creativity grow and evolve, we've found that there's a very small percentage of videos that are not a good fit for our community. So we're making an update to our Rules and Terms of Service to prohibit explicit sexual content.
"For more than 99 percent of our users, this doesn't really change anything. For the rest: we don't have a problem with explicit sexual content on the Internet -- we just prefer not to be the source of it," according to Vine on its blog.
Now, we took a look at the rules and terms of service, and we came away with the idea that despite what Twitter is doing, Vine will still be a place for porn, but not the normal kind. You see, nudity should still be seen as porn as it is showing a person's private parts, and might still arouse some viewers.
Furthermore, let's take a look at educational videos about sex. These videos usually show two people having full on sexual intercourse, the same can be said for some documentary. Speaking of sex documentaries, some of the contents shown in these things have graphic depictions of sexual arousal, the very thing Twitter is against on Vine.
In our eyes, the whole thing is a joke, and Vine should simply get rid of all contents that show people in the nude instead of picking and choosing. I mean, would Vine allow educational videos on certain sexual activity with persons showing how it is done in an explicit manner? After all, it is for educational purposes at the end of the day.
This is not Vine, ladies and gentlemen; this is madness.
