Samsung Galaxy Note Series Android 5.0 Lollipop Release Update: Galaxy Note 4, Note 3, Note 2, Note Edge

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note series has made significant strides in the U.S. and beyond, with American carriers releasing updates for both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 3.

In the weeks since our last update, major progress has been made in rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to U.S. Galaxy Note owners. Here's a roundup of domestic and international progress for the Note series.

Galaxy Note 4: Sprint

T-Mobile officially announced that the update was in "manufacturer development," but the company gave no time frame for its release. In other countries, French carrier SFR missed its self-imposed February deadline for releasing the update, while Canadian carrier Rogers has had nothing new to report.

Galaxy Note 3: T-Mobile

Galaxy Note 2: Although Samsung's regional arms in Denmark and Poland confirmed a Galaxy Note 2 update back in February, nothing new has been reported since. It is still unclear if the Note 2 will actually see an Android 5.0 Lollipop update at all.

Galaxy Note Edge: Since the rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop to Australian Galaxy Note Edge owners almost a month ago, no additional regions have been treated to an update. It's rather surprising that so much time has passed without any new territories receiving the update, but that may indicate issues requiring software tweaks for the curved-display phablet.
