You're out on the golf course practicing your swing, eyes focused on getting the ball into lucky hole number seven when all of a sudden a creature the size of Godzilla walks by. And no, this isn't just the result of watching a B-list SyFy movie before bed.
A group of golfers allegedly saw a massive alligator roaming around on a Florida golf course last Friday, and the size of this reptile will shock you.
Be prepared to be terrified...you've been warned.
The alligator was spotted on the green at the Myakka Pines Golf Club located in Englewood, Florida. Allegedly, the Godzilla-sized alligator was seen making a dash over to another pond, as it passed hole number seven on the course.
Images of the massive gator (which looks more like a small dinosaur if you ask us) have gone viral since being posted to social media sites over the weekend. On Facebook, the photo received more than 300,000 views and 4,000 shares in just five days, and another photo of the beast received over 200,000 views.
The shocking images make us wonder, could this massive alligator be fake? Of course there is the power of Photoshop. Could it be CGI? People dressed in an alligator costume? Not to mention was it really safe—or possible— for these golfers to be this close to a flesh-eating alligator the size of a dinosaur?
At least images of the dino-size alligator was taken from more than one person, so the sighting could be the real deal. According to Mackie Zada, the general manager of Myakka Pines, the shocking photos are actually "quite real."
No golfers have been attacked by gators while on the golf course, but Zada does have some advice. "We tell golfers to just forget about any golf balls that end up in the water."
Is the massive alligator real? You decide.
