Today is going to be the best day ever! Just kidding. It's not.
That's because it's Friday the 13th, perceived to be the unluckiest day you can have. You probably don't want to buy a lottery ticket or ask your crush out on a date today. Things won't end well for you.
For that reason, it might be best to just stay at home today. And while you do that, you're going to need some entertainment, right? What better day to scare yourself silly than on Friday the 13th? 1. Nosferatu (1922)
One of the most famous early horror films is as good a place as any to start off your Friday the 13th scare-fest. Nosferatu is widely regarded as one of the best film adaptations of Bram Stoker's Dracula ever with German actor Max Schreck's ghoulish performance as Count Orlok. This silent film doesn't even need eerie sound effects to creep you out.
2. Black Sunday (1960)
There aren't enough scary movies about witches, you know? That's why Black Sunday will definitely pique your interest. This Italian gothic horror film tells the tale of a witch who comes back from the dead to terrorize the family of the man who executed her. In case you didn't know, you don't want to mess with witches, guys.
3. Night of the Living Dead (1968)
Long before zombies were cool, they were terrifying, and that's thanks in part to this classic George A. Romero flick. Those Walking Dead zombies are like teddy bears compared to these monsters.
4. Rosemary’s Baby (1968)
Pregnancy is normally pretty scary business. Throw in a potential connection to the occult, and it becomes downright terrifying.

In 1974, six family members were killed in the suburban town of Amityville, N.Y. The Amityville Horror is loosely based on this real story as a family moves into a house where the murders took place. This is one of the more famous movies about a haunted house, so it's worth two hours of your time.
7. Friday the 13th (1980)
We couldn't have a list of horror movies to watch on Friday the 13th without having the movie Friday the 13th, now could we? This classic scary movie introduced us to the iconic villain Jason Voorhees and made us all afraid to go to summer camp ever again.
8. Stephen King's Children of the Corn (1984)
What did I tell you about children in horror movies? They're the worst. The ones in Stephen King's Children of the Corn murder all of the adults in their small town. Enough said.
9. Silence of the Lambs (1991)
Silence of the Lambs isn't so much a horror movie as it is a scary thriller, but it is guaranteed to give you goosebumps, make you jump out of your seat and give you nightmares. So it basically is a horror movie.
10. The Craft (1996)
On the surface, The Craft doesn't seem that scary. It is just about a bunch of teenage girls getting into witchcraft after all. But then you start thinking about what it was like to be in high school, and you get chills instantly.
