Hooters Will Serve Bacon-Wrapped Wings For March Madness

There is no better way to watch the college basketball games than with your buddies, some beer and a few dozen wings. And now we have another reason to head on over to Hooters.

In celebration of March Madness, Hooters is releasing a new menu item that is a bacon-lover's dream come true. As if their chicken wings aren't perfect already, Hooters is wrapping the perfect bow around this gift from the foodie gods—in the form of bacon.

Hooters will now be serving bacon-wrapped wings as part of its "Courtside Eats" menu during March Madness that starts March 17 until April 6.

So if the college team you are cheering for loses the game, at least you will have the comfort food to make all the pain go away. Bacon will wrap and completely cover Hooters' traditional naked wings, which are then covered in their Daytona sauce.

Other new "Courtside Eats" menu items include beer cheese served with pretzels and "Porky's Revenge," a chili hot dog topped with jalapeño peppers and served with curly fries.

The menu is only offered for a limited time, so even if you won't be watching the NCAA tournament, get those bacon wings while you can.

March Madness fans can also enter Hooters' "Hooky Adventures" contests, where you can win a VIP trip to watch the championship in Indianapolis, Indiana.

And with basketball, beer, bacon-wrapped wings—and of course the waitresses—it seems like you have plenty of reasons to visit the restaurant during your lunch hour.

"For the love of hoops, Hooters Girls and hot wings-where else are you rewarded for playing hooky throughout college basketball season?" said Andrew Pudduck, vice president of marketing at Hooters.

The bacon-wrapped wings and other March Madness menu items will only be served in participating locations.
