Stop the presses! Hold all your horses! Marvel is making a sincere run at the highest-grossing film of all time. After Marvel Studios challenged its fans to unlock the final full trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron today, the video has been made available for viewing.
It is a much appreciated, must-see event that showcases everything Marvel fans have been anticipating with the second team-up offering of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Without giving too many spoilers, we will break down the Joss Whedon extravaganza for your enthusiastic pleasure.
Ultron (James Spader) outlines his plans to “The Twins,” who are played by Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Pietro Maximoff). Created by Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man/Tony Stark, the mechanized menace is looking to cleanse the planet of all mankind. With the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier affecting the lay of the land in this action-packed sequel, the gang are put to the ultimate test as loyalties are pushed to a breaking point and the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
Tons of shots of places being destroyed by Ultron’s doppelgangers and Avengers such as Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and Iron Man indicate Age Of Ultron will be an epic piece of cinema. The team must reassemble to stave off this villainous threat as Hydra looms somewhere in the distance and S.H.I.E.L.D remains inactive. Can these unstable forces put their respective angst aside to fight such a technological evil hell-bent on human extinction?
As uneasy alliances are forged and personal lines are crossed, Avengers: Age Of Ultron promises to take comic book and movie fans on an adrenaline-fueled ride like never before. On a personal note, seeing Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Bruce Banner become closer after their exchange on the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier is cool. Also, witnessing just how brutal Ultron and his forces plan on being throughout the world add to the extinction-level event throughout the picture.
The new footage included in this final trailer shows off just how dire the stakes are with The Avengers. From holding down a position as thousands of Ultron bots storm towards our heroes to Quicksilver delivering a slow-mo haymaker to Captain America (Chris Evans), Avengers: Age Of Ultron will push everything past the point of no return as we embark on the road to Infinity War Part One and Two.
Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, based on the popular comic book series, will explode on theaters around the country on May 1, 2015.
