Flappy Bird is dead, and many mobile gamers who have played the game are not happy about it. With that in mind, what does one do to overcome the loss of an addictive game, that wasn't so revolutionary or great and nonetheless, insanely popular? That's easy, just purchase a Flappy Bird T-Shirt for $10,000 and be at peace with yourself.
The T-Shirt is called "RIP Flappy Bird", and should go well with those who are currently in mourning. Bear in mind, however, that there is nothing exciting about this $10,000 T-Shirt. For the massive asking price, buyers will get a regular cotton T-Shirt with the image of an iPhone with the now deceased Flappy Bird on it. It's clear from the description that the creators of this T-Shirt are making fun of those who bought overly expensive iPhones on eBay because they came with Flappy Bird installed.
"We're not sure it's worth every penny, but grieving makes you do strange things," according to T-Shirts.com.
It's a lot of money for just a mere cotton T-Shirt, but at the end of the day, the world is filled with gullible (and rich) people who would definitely throw $10,000 at what they might deem a collector's item. It's a lucky thing eBay took down the listings of iPhones with pre-installed Flappy Bird, which were going for prices over $90,000, because it was likely someone would have blindly thrown away a fortune at something that is quite meaningless.
After seeing the outpour over Flappy Bird, we're quite confused as to what is really happening here. Arguably, the game is terrible by today's standard, and there have been several games with the same gameplay mechanic in the past. This means whatever Flappy Bird brought to the table was nothing new, nothing we've never seen before. Still, that did not take away the fun aspect of the game, which is important more than anything else.
As of now, it is not certain if the website managed to sell any of its RIP Flappy Bird T-Shirts. Still, if you feel the need to mourn Flappy Bird by spending thousands of dollars, then by all means go ahead and purchase this T-Shirt. It's your money after all, and we have no say in how it is spent.
