Get your drinking games ready because tonight is the 87th Academy Awards.
Every viewing party needs enough alcohol to help you get through some of those long speeches. So why just pop open a bottle of wine when you can serve some truly Oscar-worthy cocktails?
Hollywood is known for its lavish lifestyle, which includes parties on the regular where the flow of drinks never stop. But Hollywood-inspired cocktails are not just reserved for after-parties. Cocktails have commonly been featured on the big screen, umm Cocktail Tom Cruise anyone?, and some actors have even had a signature drink for their character, such as Humph's Singapore Slings in 1942's Casablanca.
Let's celebrate Hollywood by raising a glass to all the greats. All the drinks on this list are inspired by celebrities or movies, which will certainly put you in the spirit of the awards. Cheers to the biggest night in movies!
The Blues Brothers: Orange Whip
How could we forget the moment when John Candy's character yells, "Three Orange Whips," in The Blues Brothers? Smooth just like jazz, the Orange Whip is made by combining rum and vodka with cream and orange juice.
The Godfather: Godfather Cocktail

The perfect gentlemen's drink, this classic movie-themed cocktail will make you feel like a don. The Godfather is made with equal parts of scotch, whisky and amaretto. Serve this bad boy on the rocks and in a vintage glass for extra style points.
The Shirley Temple
Shirley Temple was one of the most adorable child actors—not to mention a Hollywood legend—and this drink is just as sweet as that little face. This non-alcoholic cocktail is perfect for non drinkers. Just mix lemon-lime soda, like Sprite, with some grenadine. Others make their Shirley Temples with eight ounces of ginger ale and two ounces of orange juice with a dash of grenadine. Don't forget to add the cherries.
Tequila Sunrise
Back when he was our most beloved Lethal Weapon, Mel Gibson stared in the thriller Tequila Sunrise, which actually got some Oscar nominations and had a successful soundtrack on the top of the billboard chart. Tequila Sunrise is also the name of a delicious cocktail. To make it, mix together tequila, orange juice, and an orange and cherry garnish.
Will Rogers
Will Rogers was one of the biggest Hollywood stars in the 1920s and '30s, known for his cowboy roles and for vaudeville. A tribute to one of the great American performers, the Will Rogers is a classic cocktail, as timeless as old Westerns. To make, shake up gin, dry vermouth, orange juice and curaçao.
The Hunger Games: The Girl on Fire
Inspired by the powerful lead character in The Hunger Games series, Katniss Everdeen (played by Jennifer Lawrence), The Girl on Fire is a margarita that packs a serious punch. To make this spicy cocktail, blend jalapeno-infused tequila with grapefruit, lime juice and orange curaçao. Then garnish with a chipotle salt rim.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Tortuga
Inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow, this rum cocktail is one of the drinks featured at the Rum House, named one of the best cocktail bars in New York City. To make the tortuga, combine rum, fresh ginger, muddled citrus and cinnamon. Yo ho!
The Rum House not only makes a good cocktail, but it is also a Hollywood favorite. Two of the most memorable scenes in this year's Oscar-nominated film Birdman were filmed in the cocktail lounge.
