'The Walking Dead' Actress To Appear On 'The Flash' As Bug-Powered Super Villain

She may have met an untimely end on The Walking Dead as Beth, but actress Emily Kinney isn't letting that slow her down.

Reports are coming in that the Walking Dead actress will be appearing on CW's The Flash in a future episode as super villain Bug-Eyed Bandit. The news comes via PUNKD Images, who spotted the actress arriving on the show's Vancouver set.

No word yet on what specific episode Kinney will appear in, but it seems safe to assume it will be in The Flash's 18th episode, titled "All-Star Team-Up." The episode will feature Ray Palmer from CW's Arrow in a crossover special. Palmer, played by former Superman, Brandon Routh, is perhaps better known as the DC Comics superhero The Atom, whose technology-based costume for the show was recently revealed. You can check out the Atom's suit below.

And who is one of the Atom's most notorious villains? None other than Bug-Eyed Bandit, a villain who can bend insects to his will, though it remains to be seen how the character's powers will be portrayed on the show.

Coincidence? Probably not. Rumors have been swirling that CW is in early talks of the possibility of an Atom TV show. Though nothing is confirmed, pitting Atom against one of his more famous villains might be a good way to test how a full-fledged Atom series might be received.

Bug-Eyed Bandit in DC Comics is actually a man, but it looks like The Flash will be gender swapping the character for Kinney. Instead of Bertram Larvan, Kinney will instead be playing Brie Larvan.
