According to a new report from 9to5Mac, Apple's new News app feature, the Cooking Mode, is poised to be an intuitive companion for home cooks who want to improve their skills in the kitchen.

Users who are subscribed to the News+ service or the Apple One Premier bundle are now given over 70,000 recipes to try out via the app and its new Cooking Mode feature, which will be with them every step of the way.

There is also a dedicated Food section in the News app where users may find a Recipes catalog that categorizes the dishes available for them to try out, making it easy to locate cuisines, types, desserts, and more.

However, Cooking Mode does not stop with just giving users a detailed list of the recipes they wish to recreate as users may also customize their searches for specific mealtimes, quick and easy processes, and more, which they may save in their catalog.

Moreover, users will be able to see photos of the dish so it will be easier to visualize what the finished product would be. Users will also see full ingredient lists, as well as step-by-step directions, which may be enlarged with a tap, and tools to start timers and other functions.

Apple's Latest Features Available on iOS 18.4

One of the most anticipated versions of the current iPhone operating system is iOS 18.4, particularly as this is expected to have the promised rollout of many new features that center on Apple Intelligence's offers and more.

During its beta stage, Apple has delivered different new experiences for its generative AI technology, making Apple Intelligence and Siri controls available directly via the Control Center.

It is also in this version that Apple delivered on its promised support for Rich Communication Services (RCS), which is widely awaited by its userbase for non-iOS instant messaging and more. However, the specific rollout via iOS 18.4 Beta 2 focused on RCS support for Google Fi, meaning that only those who are using the network may turn on the feature and use it for improved messaging to Android and more.
