Elon Musk and the Signal Messenger App

Way back in 2021 when there was scrutiny against Meta's WhatsApp and its data sharing to Facebook, the world turned to end-to-end encrypted messaging platforms to ensure that their data are safe. Musk then suggested platforms to trust, and his choice of app is Signal Messenger from the tech executive Moxie Marlinspike.

When Musk first flirted with the idea of buying Twitter, he talked about massive changes to bring to the social media platform once he completed the acquisition. The billionaire talked about transforming Twitter's DMs with end-to-end encryption, with his model for this overhaul being Signal Messenger, showing how he trusts the platform for all things secure.

However, it seems as though Musk is no longer a fan of Signal and is now preventing links to contact pages and making other information about the platform and its website unavailable to users on X.
