Since the release of Apple's iPhone 14 Pro, the company no longer looked back as it delivered a Dynamic Island to its future iPhones that came after 2022, and it is leaked that the company is planning the same thing for the iPhone SE 4. It is believed that Apple will be delivering the iPhone SE 4 this 2025, but there are no exact release dates for the upcoming budget smartphone, with new details still coming from insiders.
The Dynamic Island has been one of the most iconic features of modern iPhones apart from the dedicated Capture Button and USB-C change, and the latest revelation is already creating massive hype among fans of the beloved budget smartphone.
Apple's iPhone SE 4 Is Set to Receive the Dynamic Island
The latest report from renowned insider and tech analyst, Evan Blass (via Digital Trends), shared new images of various Apple devices, including the iPhone SE 4 that has a familiar technology coming with it. The image shows a faint look into Dynamic Island, Apple's version of the redesigned notch that offers a pill-shaped object that houses the Face ID and front-facing camera.
However, Dynamic Island is more than a site for Apple's iPhone hardware, particularly as it also shares various statuses of the device including Notifications, incoming and outgoing phone calls, Live Activities, AirDrop, and more.
Because of this change, it is now regarded that the iPhone SE 4 would look more like the iPhone 16 rather than the iPhone 14's base version as initially speculated, with its new pill-shaped notch changing the game.

Apple Is No Longer Looking Back on the iPhone Notch
The Dynamic Island has changed a lot for the iPhone lineup over the past two years, particularly as it offered a more seamless look for the smartphone which is a significant upgrade for its notch. Previously, Apple's iPhone X delivered the cutout notch found on top of the device which has been distracting for some users, and Cupertino adopted this design until the iPhone 14's base and Plus variant, with the iPhone 14 Pro series introducing the Dynamic Island.
The iPhone SE 4 Is Coming This 2025 Says Rumors
It is already 34 months (2 years and 10 months) since Apple delivered its last iPhone SE, a.k.a. its third generation, and the company has skipped the device's upgrade since then leaving the public asking for it. The rumors behind the iPhone SE 4 are massive, and it was reported that Apple will deliver a massive upgrade to the device that will get rid of the iPhone 8's body and switch to its more modern design.
Reports initially claimed that Apple will debut the iPhone SE 4 by 2024, two years after its last release which is also the expected timeline for the device since there had been two-year intervals since the iPhone SE 2 from 2020. However, there were no signs of life for the iPhone SE 4 last year and sources still believed that it is coming, placing 2025 to be the year Apple will bring back its famed budget smartphone.
There is a massive upgrade expected from the iPhone SE 4, particularly as it will deliver an OLED screen, 5G, Apple Intelligence via a speculated A18 chipset, a potential Face ID, and a whole lot more. The list of upgrades for the iPhone SE 4 is set to expand with the Dynamic Island which has been the standard among iPhones since 2023's iPhone 15, with Apple having a jam-packed 2025 with the many lined up for release.
