The 11-inch pexar digital picture frame was a stunner. Launched last year, it featured a 2K-resolution touch display and a minimalistic, unobtrusive frame. This year, at CES 2025, pexar unveiled the newest addition to its digital picture frame series: the pexar Starlight digital picture frame.
Previously, the 11-inch pexar digital picture frame was the largest size available. While it looked elegant on a desk, it appeared a bit small when viewed from across the room. The larger pexar Starlight digital picture frame addresses that issue. With its 15.6-inch display, the Starlight picture frame gives images more prominence and presence, especially when mounted on a wall. It also features a new 16:9 aspect ratio to accommodate a wider range of picture and video dimensions.
In addition to the upgraded display, the frame's exterior appearance has been completely redesigned. The most striking new feature is the ambient backlight that softly illuminates the area behind the frame. This subtle glow draws the viewer's attention to the display, creating a live gallery effect, both when the frame is sitting on a desk or mounted on a wall. Moreover, the frame now carries a wooden texture with warmer tones, giving it a premium feel. It still supports both landscape and portrait orientations but now comes with a sturdy metal stand instead of a plastic one.
Like the 11-inch model, the pexar Starlight digital picture frame includes 32GB of internal storage, expandable via USB drive or SD card. Users can also upload new pictures instantly using the Frameo app from anywhere with an internet connection.
The 15.6-inch pexar Starlight digital picture frame is set to launch in early 2025. Pricing has yet to be announced.
