M4 iPad Pro owners who have jumped the gun with the latest arrival of iPadOS 18 are now suffering, as the update apparently 'bricked' their devices, with users reporting that their iPad Pros are no longer turning on. This unfortunate event has been widespread among M4 iPad Pro owners, and this led to Apple pulling out the latest operating system.
For now, Apple has temporarily made it unavailable to download but has not yet revealed a release availability for the new OS.
M4 iPad Pros 'Bricked,' No Longer Turning On After iPadOS 18 Update
Some M4 iPad Pro users are now airing their issues against the iPadOS 18's update availability as those who installed this version "bricked" their devices. It remains unknown to what extent this issue is and how many users were affected by the issue, but most of the complaints are from M4 iPad Pro owners.
In one Reddit post, the user claimed that they were first prompted to install an iPadOS 17 version and later installed iPadOS 18. However, after the new OS installation, the user was surprised that the M4 iPad Pro was no longer turning on, and the troubleshooting reset methods were not working.
Later on, they took it to the Apple Store and confirmed that it was "bricked," but the user walked away without their iPad as it was sent to Apple engineers. It was also noted that they were not given a replacement despite having Apple Care.

Apple Pulled Out iPadOS 18 and It is Indefinitely Delayed
The user and Engadget later unveiled that Apple pulled out the iPadOS 18.0 public release version for users, confirming that it is a widespread issue.
Despite Apple Intelligence not yet arriving on Cupertino's devices until October, iPadOS 18 already garnered massive popularity for its many advanced features, but tragedy struck users in this update.
That being said, Apple did not share further details regarding when the issue would be fixed, meaning that iPadOS 18 is indefinitely delayed.
What's the Fuzz About the iPadOS 18?
Alongside the iOS 18, Apple introduced its iPadOS 18 to the world during the WWDC 2024 event, which saw a warm reception amongst fans and users globally. Like the iPhone operating system, this iPadOS 18 is set to bring significant upgrades to the tablet experience, complete with the anticipated Apple Intelligence.
However, while Apple Intelligence is yet to arrive for Apple's devices as it is scheduled for October, there are a lot of other features anticipated with this update. Productivity and other school or work-related features were added, with Smart Script leading the charge, joined by Math Notes, Home Screen Customization, the unique New Tab bar, Siri, and more.
It is understandable that many users, especially on Apple's most advanced release yet with the M4 iPad Pro, jump in the iPadOS 18 update. With the slew of new features, Apple's latest releases were touted as the "biggest" update for the different tech available.
However, it was a rough start for Apple, and it is notably one that can be traumatic for some users as their latest iPad Pros have no longer turned on, leading to iPadOS 18 being pulled out by Cupertino.
