GoPlus has hit a key milestone in its mission to transform security for Web3 users, partnering with the EVM-compatible Neo X sidechain to provide security at the node level. The integration of GoPlus' Security Module will ensure greater security for every user.
The startup says its User Security Module or USM can be thought of as a kind of on-chain firewall, implementing an additional security layer on Neo X that will automatically screen and reject malicious transactions based on their personal security settings. It works by analyzing each transaction in real-time and will block those it deems to be suspicious. It promises to provide every Neo X user with enhanced security and asset protection.
In effect, the USM is a layer that sits between user-initiated transactions on Neo X and GoPlus's specialized, cloud-hosted SecWare services. Each time a transaction is initiated, the relevant data will be intercepted and sent to SecWare for thorough analysis, and a full risk assessment will be performed in real-time using artificial intelligence algorithms.
Once the analysis is done, the results will instantly be relayed to the USM, which will then make a decision on what to do based on the user's security recommendations. If the transaction is deemed to be risky, it will automatically be rejected, the company said. If not, then it will be processed normally, without any noticeable delay.
Neo X is the official EVM sidechain of the Neo blockchain, and it believes that by leveraging GoPlus's USM, it will be able to maximize node-level security and identify threats while maintaining a fully decentralized and permissionless network.
Neo's head of eco-growth, John Wang, said he and his colleagues are proud to be the first blockchain to integrate GoPlus's USM fully. "Combined with our upcoming anti-MEV feature, Neo X users will experience unprecedented levels of security and fairness on our chain," he insisted.
The GoPlus USM offers tangible benefits to blockchain users, analyzing transaction data and comparing it with an enormous, existing security database for signs of malicious activity. It's designed to prevent the full gamut of blockchain security threats, including fraud and unauthorized access.
What makes GoPlus stand out is that it enables users to implement iron-clad protection without any special expertise or knowledge of blockchain security. The USM connects directly to GoPlus's Personal SecHub, where users can customize their security preferences according to the level of risk they're willing to tolerate on-chain. In this way, users can strike the perfect balance between security and usability so they can interact with Web3 applications on their own terms.
Because of this, GoPlus believes its USM will be a game-changer for the Web3 industry, giving users a way to protect themselves against some of the most common threats they'll face. For instance, it will protect users against attacks even if they accidentally sign a dangerous transaction. By providing a safety net for Web3 assets, GoPlus hopes it will give more people the confidence to explore the decentralized internet.
GoPlus's marketing lead, Brian Li, said his team is thrilled to partner with Neo X. "This collaboration highlights our mutual commitment to enhancing security within the web3 ecosystem and providing robust protection for all users," he added.
