Tired, weary tech users are rejoicing in the wake of Google's Tuesday unveiling of Emoji 16.0. The update will include 8 new emojis, but one in particular is causing an excitement uncharacteristic of its most eager fans.

Google product users not yet suffering from under-eye bags still have time. The "Face With Bags Under Eyes" emoji will roll out to Google platforms including Chrome OS, Gmail, YouTube, and Android devices through 2025.
The release will also include a fingerprint, splatter, root vegetable, leafless tree, harp, shovel and the flag of Sark, a self-governing British Crown Dependency island in the southwestern English Channel.
The keywords for "Face With Bags Under Eyes" emoji are listed on Unicode's website as bags, bored, exhausted, eyes, face, fatigued, late, sleepy, tired and weary. Users on X (formerly Twitter) are already using the keywords "literally me."
In fact, a search for "eyebag emoji" on X reveals years of pleas for an emoji evoking this relatable state.
