Cox Media Group Spies on User Convos via 'Active Listening' Software

The renowned media conglomerate and marketing firm, Cox Media Group, has been exposed that it has access to user conversations via smartphones, using its 'Active Listening' Software. Using this technology, CMG can hear conversations with and from people present, and they claim that they use this information to improve their advertisement push.

According to 404 Media, CMG revealed this to investors when it presented a slide deck, and this 'Active Listening' technology can obtain "real-time data."

Its listed partners like Google, Meta, and Amazon denied that they spied on user conversations via CMG's technology. Google has since removed Cox Media Group from its Partners Program, while Meta claimed that the company is under review.

On the other hand, Amazon Advertising denied that they were ever partners with CMG.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra Leaks New Additional Tech

There was a new leak revealed last week behind Samsung's Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra, showing an additional USB-C port that users may utilize for charging, data transfers, or connecting external displays and peripherals. Initial reports claimed that this feature alone makes it better compared to Apple's latest flagship tablet, the M4 iPad Pro.

A render of Samsung's Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra was shared by tech analyst Evan Blass, showing its twin USB-Cports at the bottom of the device. Users may also expand more of their USB-C ports by connecting the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra to its external keyboard which offers an additional port, but this could only be used for charging the device.

YouTube Shares Record-Breaking Paris 2024 Coverage

A record-breaking summer was recorded by YouTube in its coverage of the largest global sporting event, the Olympic Games Paris 2024, after the recent conclusion of all the festivities. In YouTube alone, the Paris 2024 coverage reached a staggering 40 billion minutes of Olympics content, summed up by the official Olympics YouTube channel and its broadcasting partners.

It was revealed that this was more than 650 million hours of games that ran through YouTube, and according to the streaming platform, this is around 76,000 years of continuous viewing.

YouTube also recorded over 12 billion total views and 850 million unique viewers, while the official Olympics channel gained 1.1 million new subscribers during the sporting event.
