Ernest Cu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Globe, has been recognized as the Best CEO in Telecom in the Philippines by The Global Economics Limited. 

This prestigious award acknowledges his exceptional leadership and ability to drive significant growth and transformation within the company.

Get to Know Ernest Cu

For those who don't know, Cu has been serving Globe as the Director since April 2009. His long tenure in the said position was extended when he became the CEO during the same time.

Since then, he envisioned transforming the telecom industry in the Philippines to have a "sweeping transformation" towards modernization.

Apart from that, he has been the leader in outperforming the industry growth of the company thanks to the core values that he has always treasured. Across several brands, Globe has been a game-changer when it comes to product innovations and work culture.

Interestingly, he was the CEO of SPi Technologies spanning 1997 to 2008. From here, he has been recognized as one of the founding fathers of BPO in the country.

Although he was quite new in his position back then, Cu managed to win the Philippines' Best CEO by Finance Asia. He In 2017, he took home the same award and received CEO of the Year in 2012 courtesy of Frost & Sullivan Asia Pacific.

For those curious about his educational background, he graduated with a BS in Industrial Management Engineering degree from De La Salle University in 1982. It was in Kellogg when he completed his Master's in Business Administration in 1984.

The company's strategic investments in network infrastructure have also played a crucial role in its success.
