The latest from OpenAI revealed its new partnership with Condé Nast, a global mass media company that allows the tech company to use its content for its AI systems to display. It is following significant developments from OpenAI in the past months where its partnerships allow it to tap into media content for users to learn more via ChatGPT and more.

In this specific deal and partnership, ChatGPT and SearchGPT would be able to share media content with users without any issues, as it is licensed to do so.

In a new blog post, OpenAI announced its latest deal with Condé Nast which will allow the AI company to display content from renowned media entities like Vogue, Wired, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, and more. It was revealed by OpenAI that the content from these magazines and online outlets would be available on its AI systems.

OpenAI also revealed that this will allow it to test its AI systems better by asking for feedback and insights from its news partners regarding its products' performance.

Condé Nast's other brands like Architectural Digest, Bon Appétit, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, and more.

Through this partnership, users who will be asking for information from ChatGPT and its new SearchGPT prototype would be able to pull up content from Condé Nast's wide variety of brands. OpenAI promises that this will offer users a more reliable experience on the AI chatbot, also making the experience "more intuitive."

According to OpenAI, Condé Nast's partnership adds to its list of publishers that will help "integrate journalism" with its AI offers.

OpenAI's Media Content and Licensing Deals

After facing lawsuits and complaints from different organizations, authors, and social media platforms, OpenAI is known for its many recent deals that would allow them to use media content without any problems. Earlier this year, OpenAI partnered with the Financial Times to train its AI models, and the publication also vowed to offer exclusive journalism training for its LLMs.

However, while there were massive deals from media outlets and companies over the past months, OpenAI has alsopartnered with a social media platform for its content. One of the largest social networking and news aggregator platforms, Reddit, has partnered with OpenAI to showcase the forum's content, but it is a mutual deal that will bring ChatGPT as a tool for social media.

OpenAI, as well as its partner, Microsoft, has since faced issues regarding data scraping from the internet without proper licensing, with the companies hit with back-to-back copyright lawsuits. Recently, OpenAI has expanded its partnership with media outlets and conglomerates for licensing deals, with the company bolstering its ChatGPT and SearchGPT with what Condé Nast has to offer.
