Several months ago, Beats by Dre introduced its Solo Buds to the world, and it would be joined later this year with a rumored Apple AirPods 4 to deliver the wireless audio streaming experiences from the Cupertino tech giant. Currently, the Beats Solo Buds have seen significant reviews for their renowned audio quality and output, also being an affordable device, unlike the AirPods.

Beats released its Solo Buds last April 30, and it delivered a notable wireless earbuds that became a staple to users for its renowned audio quality, as well as its $79 selling price. Now, a report from 9to5Mac is matching it up against the upcoming Apple AirPods 4, a device that was rumored since last year to bring new updates to the lineup this 2024.
First off, the Apple AirPods 4 will bring two versions this year, with its main release focused on replacing the AirPods 3 from 2021, joined by a cheaper version that would replace the AirPods 2.
One of the confirmed features coming is the USB-C charging port, as well as improvements to its sound quality and connectivity, but is unknown if it will feature a new chip.
Users cannot argue with the Beats Solo Buds as it features significant features for a massive fraction of the AirPods' price, available for only $79.99. It is important to note that the Solo Buds is an in-ear earbud which means it offers a snug fit and can resemble noise isolation when songs are playing.
Moreover, it boasts of an 18-hour battery life, around thrice the longevity of the AirPods lineup. Dual layer drivers and its custom-built sound system are also what make the wireless earbuds stand out.
All About the Apple AirPods 4
It has been eight years since Apple debuted the original AirPods which delivered its first foray into a TWS (true wireless) audio device that is meant to replace the EarPods, its wired earphones that come with every iPhone purchase. With that, Apple has already classified the original AirPods as a "vintage" device, alongside its renowned W1 chip which revolutionized the experience.
With that, there have been rumors about Apple's plans to revamp the AirPods lineup yet again this year, claiming that there would be a 2024 refresh to the wireless earphones coming later this Fall. It was revealed that the AirPods 4 lineup alone would have two versions coming from the Big Tech, with one featuring its mainline release, and the next set to beits more affordable variant.
Reports claimed that Apple is looking to replace both the AirPods 2 and AirPods 3 in what it offers the public, and the AirPods 4 would fill both of these gaps in the market.
While Apple's AirPods 4 is expected to be the more advanced release, it remains unknown how well it could go on par against the Beats Solo Buds' exceptional battery life, audio quality, and of course, its low pricing.
