In the latest clarification revealed by CrowdStrike, the company fights back against Detla's lawsuit against them for the infamous days-long outage on its flights, caused by the faulty system. This follows the massive outage that CrowdStrike experienced over the past weeks, known for significantly disrupting Microsoft Windows, with Delta Airlines among those affected.
The recent revelation from CrowdStrike is now disputing Delta's claims, claiming that the company turned down the assistance it offered.
CrowdStrike Disputes Delta, Saying Airline is Responsible
CrowdStrike's lawyers have clarified critical pieces of information regarding the Delta lawsuit it faces, and according to an email it sent (via David Slotnick), the airline is also responsible for its delayed flights. It was revealed by the letter that Delta refused CrowdStrike's proposition of sending for "on-site assistance" to the airline amidst the issue.
However, Delta did not respond to this offer from CrowdStrike, and this led to significant delays to its operations, further pushing back on the way to help them return their services.
In the letter, CrowdStrike said that it is still apologizing for how its outage affected customers and employees, but claimed that it was Delta's negligence that escalated the issues further.
Delta's Days-Long Outage and Flight Delays
It is known that Delta's operations faced days-long outages which significantly affected its customers, with CrowdStrike claiming that its competitors, who also faced the problems, brought back their operations faster. CrowdStrike also said that this lawsuit from Delta is "misleading the narrative," saying that the airline is responsible for its "IT decisions."
CrowdStrike also addressed that it will not back down from this legal fight from Delta, but will also be open to cooperating with the airline moving forward.
