San Diego Comic-Con 2024 saw a massive announcement from Warner Bros. Games' panel about Mortal Kombat 1's Khaos Reigns DLC, with Ed Boon further revealing his aspiration for Arnold Schwarzenegger to voice Conan the Barbarian. It is known that Arnold Schwarzenegger was the original actor in the first film adaptation of the series way back in 1982.

Despite the fictional hero's various portrayals over the years, Arnold remains the iconic face and voice of Conan the Barbarian, with the Mortal Kombat creator hoping to have him take on the mantle once again.

MK1's announcement of its upcoming Khaos Reigns DLC and Kombat Pack 2 had its fanbase scrambling as it confirmed the six new characters coming to the game. However, Ed Boon, Mortal Kombat's creator, has a lot more in mind to offer gamers once Conan the Barbarian drops, particularly in getting its original actor, Arnold Schwarzeneggerto voice the playable fighter.

It was revealed by Boon in an interview with ComicBook that the team is currently trying to get Arnold to voice Conan, but that is the challenge they are facing now.

Boon noted that they failed to get the Austrian-American actor to voice his other iconic character, the Terminator, in Mortal Kombat 11.

Despite facing this massive challenge, Boon is still hoping to have Arnold reprise his role as the swordsman and sorcerer following the two movies in 1982 and 1984. While the former California governor is still unsure about voicing the hero, Conan the Barbarian is a sure character coming to Mortal Kombat 1's upcoming Khaos Reigns DLC,under Kombat Pack 2.

Mortal Kombat 1's Iconic DLC Characters

Before the release of Mortal Kombat 1 last year, the revamp of the entire fighting franchise went massive on its first round of DLCs, centering on Kombat Pack 1's offers

Most of what the brutal action game offers are renowned anti-heroes and villains from their specific franchises, with Kombat Pack 1 featuring The Boys' Homelander, Invincible's Omni-Man, Suicide Squad's Peacemaker, as well as three other fighters from the MK games.

Late last year, another fighter was rumored to be joining MK1 as part of the Kombat Pack DLCs, and yet again, this is another pop culture villain said to be appearing soon in the game. This is the iconic Ghostface from the hit horror-slasher franchiseScream, with Boon responsible for teasing these villains alongside Chucky the Doll, Jigsaw, Mike Myers, and Pinhead.

Ghostface was said to be joining the next DLC offers by Mortal Kombat under the much-awaited Kombat Pack 2 offers from NetherRealm and WB Games.

The recent SDCC panel from WB Games revealed MK1's Kombat Pack 2, but Ed Boon wants more to offer fans by looking towards having Arnold Schwarzenegger provide the actual voice of Conan.
