Mid-2000's gaming era was redefined with one of the most significant releases from Sony with its first PlayStation Portable which offered its first handheld gaming console. Now, a new leak surfaced claiming that there would be an upcoming re-release for a PSP game that Sony is planning for the future, and it will be arriving on both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Retro gaming has redefined the modern experiences as most platforms offer it apart from emulators, with Nintendo being the most popular for its Switch access to past-gen titles.

The next retro PSP game coming to Sony's PlayStation Plus Premium cloud gaming service was leaked by a user called @realradec, claiming that Secret Agent Clank would be soon added to the list. The game is best known as part of the Rachet & Clank franchise, particularly as a spin-off to the series made specifically for the handheld gaming device.

It was revealed that this was leaked by PlayStation themselves, with the gaming division sending out emails thathighlight its upcoming games for the PS Plus.

Secret Agent Clank was part of the list despite not yet being announced by the company, listed under PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 availability.

When is This PSP Game Coming to PS4, PS5

Currently, Secret Agent Clank is not yet available to both Sony gaming consoles, with the Japanese gaming giant still silent about this upcoming title. While it may be a mistake on PlayStation's end, this may very well be a confirmation for its upcoming addition to the cloud gaming retro service.

It remains unknown if PlayStation would offer this in the future, but in doing so, it would complete the entire Rachet & Clank franchise, playable in the modern gaming hardware of Sony.

Sony's Retro Gaming in Present Consoles

Back in mid-2022, there were leaks about Sony's plans to follow Nintendo's footsteps in offering past generation games from its earlier consoles to be available in its latest gaming systems. In Sony's case, these were made available via its PlayStation Plus subscription service, initially offering classic PlayStation (PS1) games to the PS4 and PS5.

After it was confirmed and made available via PS Plus, it became a regular thing for Sony to deliver classic and retro titles via its online gaming service that offered a slice of the past. Moreover, the company expanded on other older consoles apart from the original PS1, with Sony also offering games from the PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, and PSP available on the service.

Through PlayStation Plus Premium, Sony offered these past-gen games available to access via its PS4 and PS5 via the cloud, making them widely available under the subscription. Through this, users can enjoy a retro experience via its modern gaming platforms, with a marketing leak revealing that the next PSP game coming soon is Secret Agent Clank.
