During a demo at Summer Game Fest, sources had the opportunity to try out some of the new interactions between DualSense controllers and the Astro Bot game added by Team Asobi. The team has reportedly expanded the variety of textures that can be felt through the controller, such as sand, glass, and metal.

Thanks to haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, each of Astro's new power-ups will offer a unique sensation. In the demonstration, there are small spark plugs that you often need to remove from the soil. The combination of sound effects from the controller and the gradually intensifying resistance on the triggers created the sensation of pulling on resistant wires.

The controller will go up for pre-order on August 9th in specific countries, with a price tag of $79.99. Alternatively, users can attempt to purchase it from specific stores around the globe on September 6th, which coincides with the release of Astro Bot.

PS5's Astro Bot

Astro, the mascot of PlayStation 5, will embark on a new journey in the game Astro Bot, launching on September 6 and utilizing the advanced features of the Dualsense controller.

Astro is searching for his team in Astro Bot. Riding a speeder designed to resemble a DualShock Controller, he journeys through space, exploring numerous planets and meeting popular figures and places from the PlayStation universe.

The new Astro installment comes as the PlayStation 5 continues to receive some of the biggest games, however the console it self might also get a new upgrade as per recent rumors.

PS5 Pro Rumors

Data miners have uncovered new evidence suggesting Sony's intentions to release an upgraded console, fueling rumors about the potential launch of the PS5 Pro. There are rumors circulating that Sony intends to release a 'Pro' version of its console later this year, fulfilling the long-awaited variant of the PlayStation 5 that has been speculated about in the past.

Online investigators and individuals who extract information have found new details about Sony's PlayStation 5 Pro, a gaming system that is rumored to provide enhanced and more potent gameplay for users.

As per ThatBomberBoi's statement on X, this was shown in the recent "Worlds" update of No Man's Sky by Hello Games, where the code referenced 'graphical choices' for the technology.

It was discovered that the codename "Trinity" appeared in the codes, thought to indicate important graphics features for the console, potentially exclusive to the PS5 Pro.

Sony is famous for utilizing codenames inspired by The Matrix for new consoles, such as 'Neo' for the PS4 and 'Morpheus' for the PlayStation VR.

It was rumored that Sony would release a new PlayStation 5 console in the years 2023 or 2024, focusing on a mid-cycle launch. Initially, there were rumors that Sony planned to release two variations of the upcoming models, with the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro, while the console referred to as the 'new PS5 2023' was expected to be the Slim version.

As of now, the PS5 Pro has not been released, and Sony has not provided any concrete information.
