Mods will soon be abundant on Baldur's Gate 3.

Mods have had a massive experience on the latest installment of the franchise, Baldur's Gate 3, and the team is looking to expand more on this with the future introduction of modding tools. Through this, mod creators would have improved access and find an easier time to prove these to the community, expanding more of its availability to players looking for their next tweak.

This upcoming experience for the game is also more iconic for those in the console, as this mod experience is also coming for these platforms to access.

The previous announcement regarding Baldur's Gate 3's official modding support coming with Patch 7 is now seeing overwhelming reviews from gamers who have already tried it via the closed alpha. Those who have been part of this testing experience regarded that through these tools, the modding was made easier and more accessible for users.

Using BG3's Toolkit for modding, the process no longer needs the extra effort and massive focus modders give to creating these new experiences for the game.

That being said, the game's Patch 7 will arrive in less than two months, and by September, players will have access to the Toolkit that will help improve this feature.

Baldur's Gate 3 Console Version: Mods are Coming

It is widely known that Larian Studios answered the fans' request to provide the community with modding tools that would help make the experience hassle-free, something that the developers fulfilled. Apart from this, the company also confirmed that the modding experience for Baldur's Gate 3 is also coming for console versions which include the PlayStation and Xbox.

Baldur's Gate 3 and the Renowned RPG

Last year's winner of the 2023 Game of the Year award from The Game Awards event is Baldur's Gate 3, the renowned mainline sequel to the franchise introduced by Larian Studios. This game's win was a massive achievement for the team, particularly with its significant development which included over 2,000 members who worked on it, with some not being able to see the game receive the massive achievement.

The renowned role-playing game (RPG) saw enormous recognition during the said event, but it still saw a stellar performance in the market, leading to it being the highest-rated game on Sony's PlayStation 5. The game also saw a 97 Metacritic score on the Sony console, ranking 96 on the reviews website for its Windows PC and Steam rating.

Its launch was a testament to its success, and this rating on the game has not changed much since last year, especially with its iconic experiences and openness to what players want to see in the game. Modding will soon arrive on the platform extensively, alongside the new tools that are currently under testing, with console gamers soon getting mods in their Baldur's Gate 3 experiences.
