Nothing's CMF Phone 1 Sold 100k Units in 3 Hours

A year after Nothing introduced its first subsidiary company, CMF by Nothing, the company unveiled the CMF Phone 1, and last week, the smartphone was released in the market which sold as much as 100,000 units in three hours. It is a record-breaking achievement for the mid-range smartphone which only costs $199 apiece, with the specialty brand immediately hitting it off amongst the public.

CMF by Nothing claimed that this achievement was similar to last year's Nothing Phone (2a) record-breaking milestone, but did so in 24 hours.

The new CMF Phone 1 brings a modular setup for users where they may tweak their devices to add accessories, change the backplate's colors, and more while featuring a 5,000mAh battery, MediaTek's Dimensity 7 300 5G chipset, and expandable storage through microSD.

Samsung and AT&T's Same-Day Repair Program

The need to wait a few days to weeks or months on end for your device to be repaired is now over as Samsung and AT&T launched their joint same-day repair option program for all Galaxy phone owners. Under this new service, both Samsung and AT&T are guaranteeing a one-day repair for Galaxy smartphones, available all across the United States.

Users may bring their Galaxy device that needs service in as many as 700 physical locations nationwide, and they may swing by later to pick it up, on the same day, guaranteeing a faster service.

The World's First 'Miss AI' Competition

Generative AI is known for creating different illustrations and realistic portraits, but a recent 'Miss AI' competition brought the world's first AI-generated beauty contest for female faces made using the technology.

The competition received backlash for its depictions of female contestants generated using AI, with the winner, "Kenza Layli" from Morroco also facing criticism. Layli is a fictional social media influencer on Instagram who was made to represent an online personality made entirely from AI, also known for having 200,000 followers on the platform.

Experts and ethics experts claim that there is confusion about what was judged by the competition, whether it's AI creators or the AI personalities. Moreover, its beauty standards were also questioned due to its "idealized version" of real people.
