A new teaser from Activision Blizzard confirmed that a Call of Duty x WWE crossover is coming soon, and it will take place this July 24 as part of the developer's Season 5 update. When the new season comes in, expect a colossal "smackdown" as regarded by the company in its latest teaser which only shows the iconic ring and a bell being rung.

The latest release from Call of Duty did not reveal who or what is coming from this new crossover with WWE, with the devs only saying that content from the famed World Wrestling Entertainment is coming for the next season.

However, it is important to note that in its post, the company used Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's iconic catchphrase, and may suggest that the superstar is coming to the game.

What to Expect from WWE in MW3, Warzone 2.0?

In the teaser, Call of Duty showed three shadows on the ground, suggesting that there would be three wrestlers coming as part of the collaboration. According to ComicBook Gaming, the middle shadow may be Roman Reigns, a current-generation and active wrestler of the organization, but the other two remain unknown.

The report claimed that Call of Duty may feature active wrestlers only, but the bald one on the left side may suggest otherwise, with The Rock being a massive candidate for this crossover.

Call of Duty and Its Massive Crossovers

One of the most recent crossovers for 2024 alone was the Fallout content that arrived towards the end of June, introducing the Wasteland and Vaulties to the game.

There was also the arrival of Godzilla x Kong to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone which brought the menacing behemoths to terrorize players in the game, especially with its OP BEAST glove which stirred controversy.

It was also this year when Activision Blizzard expanded on Amazon Prime Video's The Boys crossover content, as well asits special Dune Part Two collaboration featuring the Atreides and Harkonnen bad blood.

Call of Duty may not have been as expansive with its crossovers before, unlike its rivals in the industry, but it is doing so lately, and these have been a treat for all of its players. The good thing is, it does not stop there, as its latest announcement confirmed the upcoming smackdown for the action-shooter game, with July 24's Season 5 delivering on a Call of Duty x WWE experience.
