Google is expanding its reach for its Wallet app on the web, making it finally available to 13 more countries. What's next with this availability?

Wallet.google.com serves as your one-stop shop for all things Google Wallet on the web. Here's what you can do with it, according to 9to5Google.

  • View and Manage Payment Methods: Easily access a list of your saved credit and debit cards, allowing you to review details and manage them as needed.
  • Control Your Passes: From loyalty cards and boarding passes to concert tickets, view and manage all your digital passes stored in Google Wallet. You can even view actual barcodes (when available) for passes.
  • Centralized Transaction History: Unlike the Android app that only displays 10 recent tap-to-pay interactions, the web version offers a more comprehensive transaction history. To ensure account security, you'll need to verify your identity through a Google Prompt before accessing this information.

Google Wallet Web's Improved Functionality and Control

The web interface goes beyond basic access to payment methods and passes. It empowers you with additional functionalities.

With Unified Wallet and Google Pay Settings, you can manage settings for both Google Wallet and Google Pay conveniently from a single location on the web.

When it comes to Privacy and Security Controls, you can now access a dedicated settings page that links to various Google preferences related to your address, data, and privacy settings. This gives you greater control over your digital footprint.

Material 3 Design and Global Expansion

The Google Wallet web interface incorporates the sleek and user-friendly Material 3 design language, ensuring a consistent experience across platforms. It replaces the older pay.google.com website and is now available in 13 additional countries, bringing the total to 15:

A More Convenient Way to Manage Your Digital Wallet

The Google Wallet web interface represents a significant advancement in digital wallet accessibility. Users can now conveniently manage their finances and access passes from the comfort of their web browsers.

With its expanded reach and enhanced functionalities, Google Wallet is poised to become an even more essential tool for managing your digital life.

In other news, Android Police reported that Google Wallet will roll out biometrics support in the US. According to the report, the move will replace physical banking cards.

With the accelerating adoption of mobile payments, many users prefer the new method due to its convenience and hassle-free functionality.

With this update, users can use Google Wallet as an ID pass. However, it is still recommended to carry your physical passport at all times.

Last month, Google expanded support for 29 more banks. All in all, 179 banks were supported by the app.
