A massive outage has been reported by several users, claiming that prominent websites like RedditPinterest, and even Twitch were down for some users. Services have since then been restored.

At around 2:15 p.m. ET, reports of some prominent websites experiencing problems surfaced. Down Detector complaints began to appear on sites such as Reddit and Pinterest. Most websites and services resume normal operations at 4:10 p.m. ET, with user reports reaching their baseline.

Reports on Reddit, Twitch, the New York Times, and other platforms have now hit their baseline. The subsequent disruptions with Call of Duty and Ticketmaster are approaching baseline report levels, indicating that the blip may be resolved.

The baseline for Call of Duty is 13, and recent sources indicate a score of roughly 70. Ticketmaster's baseline is two, and it's holding constant at 34. The cause of the outage for prominent websites is reportedly unknown.

Verizon Outage

The reports come as outages continue to be a recurring concern. Just last week, Verizon users in Augusta, Georgia, and other places complained of network troubles after their smartphones continued to display an SOS warning.

The downdetector said that over 1,200 Verizon customers reported service interruptions before 3 p.m. ET. Throughout the outage, Verizon Support has actively assisted consumers on X.

According to accounts, the disruption occurred at 2:00 p.m. Eastern time. Verizon responded quickly to the concerns. The company went on to say that most of these issues can be resolved in 12 hours and the majority of 5G issues in 48 hours.

Other Major Outages

Before the Verizon outage, the three main US service providers had been experiencing troubles for only a few days. On June 28, T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T users reported problems with their respective phone plans. An international roaming outage caused issues for the key telecom companies.

Because of the disruption, certain users presently traveling abroad may be unable to use cellular internet, send messages, or make phone calls.

According to sources, Syniverse, the third-party organization responsible for supervising all three carriers' international roaming services, is experiencing connection troubles, which have resulted in an outage.

Though the specific explanation is unknown, some suggest that it may be due to changes in how carriers handle their aging 2G and 3G networks as they move to 4G and 5G.

Consumers lament the problem on mobile community forums, Reddit, and social media. The outage affects various customers differently; some claim never to have broadband, SMS, or cellular service, while others may only connect sporadically.

At the time, it was stated that large international outages affected all three major US carriers, causing global connection issues for Americans. Each carrier's clients had obstacles.

As a result, the current outage does not impact any specific place or service. However, reports of issues have arrived from Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe.
