One of the biggest updates for Amazon's Fire TV is coming, as Microsoft confirmed that Xbox Cloud Gaming will be available to the device in more than 25 countries worldwide. Users only need their Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, which will act as a display and gaming device in one, with Microsoft taking care of bringing over the Xbox experience for all.

To start playing this new way of gaming, the only requirements are an internet connection and an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

Amazon Fire TV Gets Xbox Cloud Gaming From Microsoft

Xbox Gaming recently announced a massive feature it will bring to Amazon's Fire TV, confirming that Xbox Cloud Gaming is heading to the device for future game streaming experiences. This new collaboration between Amazon and Xbox will allow people in more than 25 countries to access loud gaming streaming services right on televisions.

It would be accessible via the Xbox app recently launched for Fire TV, with Microsoft taking it up a notch by making it portable. This is because it is made available on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and Fire TV Stick 4K devices released from 2023 onwards.

Through this, Xbox touts that a console is no longer needed to enjoy a gaming experience.

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Required for Cloud

That being said, apart from the Fire TV stick and internet connection, Microsoft also requires an active or new subscription to the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to access the experiences offered by its cloud gaming. Moreover, this would also require users to connect a Bluetooth wireless gaming controller.

Bethesda has a special offer under Game Pass Ultimate, which makes Fallout 76, Fallout 4, and the Fallout Prime Video series available.

No Console? Not a Problem with Xbox Cloud

The famed Xbox Cloud Gaming from Microsoft has been one of the most special and trusted cloud gaming services in the world, rivaling that of NVIDIA's GeForce Now, Amazon Luna, and more. There were rumors behind a supposed free access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the downside is that it is ad-supported, but it is unknown when it will be released.

Initially, the Xbox Cloud Gaming experience centered on mimicking the console, which requires a compatible wired or wireless Bluetooth controller to enjoy what it offers. That changed recently when Microsoft provided keyboard and mouse support under the Xbox Cloud Gaming beta program, which expanded the experience to mimic PC gaming.

With massive titles accessible here and Microsoft regularly updating its list of games accessible to subscribers, Xbox Cloud Gaming has proved to be one of the best options for game streaming now. Not having a console is no longer a problem today, and not having a PC or capable smartphone is also not a big deal, as Fire TVs will soon be getting Cloud Gaming from Xbox.
