The rumors behind a new Beats Pill from Apple have recently been officially confirmed, and alongside this confirmation, the company claimed that there would be a reveal event come June 25.
This new teaser video shows a snippet of the new Beats Pill to the world, but not much has changed at first glance apart from its new look that still captures its iconic design from the past.
After several years of seeing it discontinued, Apple finally released one that captures the spirit of the Beats Pill lineup, now with new features available.
Apple's New Beats Pill to Debut this June 25
A new teaser video from Beats by Dre via X confirms the new Beats Pill and the company also unveiled its upcoming reveal date this June 25 called "THE PREDICAMENT." The teaser shows NBA Superstar LeBron James at a party, with the Beats Pill speaker filling the room with music, with "The King" turning up the volume on the speaker, showcasing more of its volume and power.
The song playing on the speaker is Lil Wayne's famed song, A Milli, but the teaser did not show the Grammy Award-winning rapper on the video.
It is known that James was among the earliest who was seen in public with the new Beats Pill speaker, and was later spotted with F1's Daniel Ricciardo, Kim Kardashian, and Lionel Messi.
New Teaser on Beats Pill Reveals Look
The new teaser from Beats by Dre revealed the new look of the Beats Pill, and while it still captures the iconic oval shape of the device, there is now a 'b' logo in the middle, as opposed to Pill+'s design which puts the logo on top.
It captures a simple and minimalistic design, unlike previous Beats Pill before it, but nothing more was teased in the video.
Apple and Beats Audio Experiences
It is known that Apple's earliest product under the Beats by Dr. Dre brand is the Beats Pill+ which it debuted in 2015, one year after it acquired the company. The Beats Pill+ offered a wireless Bluetooth speaker which is widely compatible among Apple devices, as well as other Bluetooth-enabled tech, offering an iconic sound, performance, and functionality for users.
However, it only saw a seven-year run under Apple, as the company later discontinued it in 2022, and this was the same Beats Pill+ that debuted in 2015, not seeing any changes or upgrades along the way.
Everything changed earlier this year when Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron James, was spotted holding an unknown Beats speaker as he was walking towards the dugout before an NBA game.
Later on, more evidence suggested that the Beats Pill's resurrection is nearing, with an FCC filing appearing online and suggesting that its unveiling and release are coming soon.
Now, it was confirmed by Apple and Beats that the Pill is a legitimate device and will soon be available for fans to see, with the June 25 event to unveil the device featuring all its improvements since the 2015 model.
