Tesla Cybertruck Windshield Wiper Problems Cause Delivery Issues, Customers Claim

Cybertruck's windshield wipers are causing the delays.

Tesla Cybertruck customers are now complaining about the vehicle's windshield wipers, and some believe that this is the cause of delivery issues that delay the arrival of the electric pickup for those who bought it. When Tesla introduced the Cybertruck for its upcoming availability, it showed off a massive, one-armed wiper that the company designed that way.

Now, customers who own the EV and those who are yet to receive its delivery are complaining about the massive windshield wiper.

Tesla Cybertruck Windshield Wiper has Problems

The Tesla Cybertruck Owners' community forum is now blasting massive complaints from different users regarding issues with their cars' windshield wipers. One complaint centers on issues like the wiper being triggered to swipe. Another complaint centers on the wiper staying down instead of up in its resting position.

On the other hand, other customers claim that their Cybertrucks have bad wiper motors and ask for a replacement. Some claim that they have been waiting for weeks on end, but the replacement parts have not yet arrived for the dealership to install.

The same goes for wiper blades, which were also part of replacement requests.

Despite these massive complaints from users regarding different issues, there are still no recalls or acknowledgments from Tesla regarding faulty wipers and assemblies.

Customer Claims Cybertruck Delivery Issues are Due to Wipers

Not only that, but Cybertruck customers who have purchased the cars and are awaiting their delivery also attribute delays to their wiper problems, according to a report by Gizmodo. Tesla has yet to respond to news agencies and customers regarding this delay, alongside the massive requests for parts that are yet to arrive to customers.

Tesla Cybertruck and Its Massive Wipers

It is widely known that the Tesla Cybertruck is not your usual electric pickup, and it is already evident in its body that it will be a different take, centering on a futuristic look for the modern vehicle. For a long time now, many have spotted the controversial windshield wiper on the car, and this is because instead of having two, Tesla designed it to only have one giant wiper.

There were plenty of reasons why Tesla opted for the monoblade or single-blade arm, and its most popular answer before was aerodynamics, as this offers improved experiences that reduce drag. It was previously tested in wind tunnels, one where powerful air blasts are sent toward the vehicle's way, with its wipers offering an impressive performance under this type of situation.

Tesla opted to keep this windshield wiper design, but it would have to use a single, massive wiper blade that stays on one side, ready to swipe the water, snow, or other debris away when needed. However, it is already causing problems for Cybertruck owners now, with replacement parts for the blade itself and motor seeing delays, but those who are yet to receive the pickup blame the problem on this part alone.
