A new leak about Samsung S24 FE tells us that it's going to be the cheapest smartphone soon. It's also tipped to be a thin handset that boasts a unique style. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is unlikely to launch alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 next month. However, it's already generating buzz with its familiar yet appealing design.
Credible sources, including the well-known Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks) in collaboration with Giznext, have released high-quality computer-generated images of the device. These images show a design that closely resembles both last year's S23 FE and this year's high-end S24 series.
Could this leak suggest that we are about to see an affordable handset from Samsung?
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE Upgrades
The recent Samsung release boasts generative AI features that can compete with Apple's upcoming iPhone. However, it's important to note that the company is putting more focus on its physical features with Galaxy S24 FE.
One of the game-changing upgrades in the Galaxy S24 FE is its display. The screen size is expected to increase from the S23 FE's 6.4 inches to approximately 6.65 inches. This enhancement provides more screen real estate, putting it almost on par with the Galaxy S24+.
Despite this increase, the device's dimensions, reported at 162 x 77.3mm, suggest that it won't be significantly taller or wider than its predecessor. This indicates considerably thinner bezels, although not as slim as those on the 6.7-inch Galaxy S24 Plus.
Sleek and Stylish Build For Galaxy S24 FE
According to Phone Arena, the premium-looking Galaxy S24 FE is expected to be a super thin model. It only measures 8mm in thickness positioning it between the S24+ (7.7mm) and the S23 FE (8.2mm).
Looking at these specs, it's most likely on its way to becoming a decent S24 model in the lineup since there are other models that are far better than it. Still, its attractive design won't let you down for a minute.
Apart from that, the leak says that the rear camera setup appears unchanged from the S23 FE, featuring three cameras, and the front-facing camera remains centered. The device will also sport an aluminum frame, a USB Type-C port at the bottom, and side-mounted power and volume buttons.
Expected Specifications
The Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to come with impressive specifications, including:
- Processing Power: Exynos 2400 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, depending on the region
- Display: AMOLED
- Water and Dust Resistance: IP67 rating
- Camera: 50MP primary rear-facing camera
- Memory and Storage: Up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage
These specs indicate a powerful device, although some details, such as the battery size, still need to be confirmed.
A battery capacity of around 5,000mAh could set it apart from its predecessor, and potential upgrades to the secondary and tertiary rear cameras (from 8MP and 12MP, respectively) could enhance its appeal.
When Can We See Galaxy S24 FE?
Like the S23 FE, the S24 FE is expected to feature an Exynos SoC internationally and a Snapdragon equivalent in the US. This distinction might cause some envy among users in different regions, even though both processors are expected to deliver impressive performance.
If past trends continue, the Galaxy S24 FE is likely to debut in the fall, with an estimated starting price of around $600 in the US. This configuration might see an upgrade from the S23 FE's 128GB of internal storage to 256GB.
While much about the Galaxy S24 FE remains unknown at the moment, the leaked upgrades and familiar design elements make it a highly anticipated release.
With its larger display, slim bezels, and powerful specifications, the S24 FE promises to be a solid addition to Samsung's lineup, offering a balance of performance and affordability.
