The recent WWDC 2024 introduced massive features for the iOS 18, and one of these nifty experiences is the ability to schedule messages via iMessage to contacts. It offers a way never to forget to send a text beforehand, and it is available for friends, families, colleagues, and more as long as they own an Apple device that can receive iMessages.
While this feature has been available on Android for a long time now, it is a welcome addition for iOS and iMessage as it is a long-requested one from users.
Apple iOS 18: How to Send Scheduled Texts on iMessage
Apple's iOS 18 announcements brought a massive spotlight on iMessage's new features, but one of the most significant ones is the capability to schedule a message to be sent later.
Previously, sending scheduled messages could only be done on Shortcuts, but Apple built it into iMessage in iOS 18 for an easier experience.
On the Messages app, users only need to click the '+' button on the left side of the text field. Choose 'More' and tap on' Send Later in its list of choices.'
It would then open a field with a date and time above the text box, which users may set to their preferred timeline and input the message they want to deliver.

Apple's Massive Developments for iMessage
Apart from the ability to schedule messages, iOS 18's iMessage also offers a chance to enjoy RCS in the future and satellite texting capabilities that expanded on its Emergency SOS feature.
New text effects, Tapback reactions, and more are available in the upcoming iOS 18 update for iMessage.
The Latest Tech on iOS 18
The latest from Apple, iOS 18, is surely one of the biggest updates that arrived in the world. It offers a smartphone OS that delivers significant features, including the arrival of Apple Intelligence. However, the smartphone OS alone already delivers a significant customizable experience for the home screen, lock screen, Control Center, and more.
With Apple announcing massive features on iOS 18 at the recent event, many are excited to receive the update coming later this year. However, it is important to note that not all will receive the full extent of AI. There was a previous report regarding iOS 18's compatibility with iPhone XS, and later (until iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus), devices did not receive some Apple Intelligence features.
Apple's advancements in the smartphone operating system deliver a significant experience for all, unlike previous iOS updates, which only offer minimal changes. Thanks to this new iOS 18, iMessage has a ton of new experiences to enjoy, including the chance to schedule messages to send later to your contacts so as not to forget anymore.
