2XKO Release Date Rumored to be in 2025

Daniel Richtman, a trusted source for games, series, and movies, has recently announced new developments regarding 2XKO's release date, which was suggested to be near.

Riot Games' previous announcement, which was also the same time it confirmed the game's name, only claimed it would be released in 2025.

However, Richtman revealed a more specific timeline for 2XKO and said that Riot Games is planning for an early 2025 release date. This new rumor suggested it could be released as early as January 2025, with the game coming out six months from now.

What to Expect From League of Legends Fighting Game

Riot's League of Legends-based fighting game will deliver an arcade-style experience that centers on 3D characters in locations inspired by the League's lore, including Bilgewater, Ionia, and Piltover.

2XKO will bring champions from the MOBA, including Ahri, Ekko, Jinx, Darius, Illaoi, Garen, Yasuo, Lucian, and more to the title. Riot will launch it on the PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S and X at the same time.

Project L, a.k.a. 2XKO, Teasers From Riot

Riot Games first announced Project L in 2021, and it quickly gained a significant following in the gaming industry. Many fans and gamers celebrated this new game as they expected it to deliver a new experience with familiar characters.

This game centers on champions and different elements from the company's highly successful MOBA franchise, League of Legends, which is still a stellar title now.

Riot previously teased that different champions from the original League of Legends franchise will be featured in the game. The original teaser centered on Ahri, Ekko, and Jinx as the playable characters.

However, a following teaser confirms that more of the roster's members, including Illaoi, the Kraken Priestess, will be included in the game. Earlier this year, Riot Games gave Project L its official name, 2XKO, which should be pronounced literally and not as "two-times KO."

The team previously confirmed that 2025 is the year to expect the game's release, similar to the rumors. Gamers seemed to have to wait for six months for its arrival.
