The latest and most advanced MacBook Air sporting the M3 chipset is now available on Apple's Refurbished Store to purchase, and these are the more affordable options for the computer. However, you may want to consider your other options to buy the MacBook Air as it is offered at a cheaper price tag in third-party retail stores and these are brand new models.
While there are pros and cons to buying from Apple or its retailers, the choice ultimately falls on your lap for your new purchase.
Apple M3 MacBook Air Now Available in Refurbished Store
Apple's Refurbished Store is now spotted to offer its latest M3-powered MacBook Airs available here, and these are cheaper compared to brand new ones from its lightest computer lineup.
The M3 MacBook Air with 256GB SSD storage, 8GB of RAM, and a 13-inch display that was released last March is now available as a refurbished device for only $929. It is $170 less than the original, brand-new price of $1,099 that is sold by Apple now.
On the other hand, there is the 512GB SSD of the same spec sheet, size, and M3 chip on the Refurbished Store thatis sold for only $1,099, offering as much as $200 of savings from its $1,299 original price.
Its 15-inch variant with 256GB is available for $1,099 (from $1,299) and the 15-inch 512GB is also sold for $1,269 (from $1,499). There are multiple color options available from Apple, but this would depend on stock.
Brand New M3 MacBook Air Cheaper on Amazon
That being said, Apple's official account on Amazon offers a brand new M3 MacBook Air with 256GB of storage and a 13-inch display for only $899, slightly cheaper than the refurbished.
Not the same can be said for the 13-inch, 512GB variant as the brand new is available for $1,199, with Apple's Refurbished Store selling it at a lower price.
Apple's Refurbished vs. Brand New on Third-Party
Buying secondhand has always been the option for saving on a new purchase, but there are still other options for those who want an almost brand-new quality for their planned purchase of Apple devices. One is the Apple Refurbished Store which offers discounts on its devices, even the latest ones, and previously, it was with the Apple Watch Ultra 2 that sold for 15 percent off in China.
However, for those still holding out, you may still look for other options like searching for a third-party retailer of Apple which offers massive deals and discounts for brand new purchases of its devices. These stores offer good deals as well, with the likes of Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and more having different deals, with different sale eventshappening every year.
Weighing one's options before every purchase does not hurt, especially as Apple's refurbished offers are barely secondhand with brand new qualities, with retailers offering brand new and refurbished as well. Purchasing refurbished from Apple may ease your worries as well and is considerably cheaper, but cheaper brand-new options are also available elsewhere.
