MrBeast Claiming YouTube Throne

Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, has officially become the most-subscribed channel on YouTube, surpassing the long-reigning Bollywood music label T-Series.

T-Series held the top spot for several years after Felix Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, conceded his extended battle for supremacy. Now, MrBeast has taken the crown.

Donaldson shared the milestone on Sunday on X, formerly Twitter, saying that his channel gained an additional two million subscribers in one day, setting a new record. In his post, the YouTube sensation shared a picture showing the latest subscription figures and said that he has "avenged" PewDiePie.

According to The Verge, MrBeast's subscriber count has now reached 268 million. X owner Elon Musk congratulated MrBeast on his achievement, responding to the YouTuber's post with, "Wow, congrats!"

In a big show of support for Kjellberg's effort to stay as the most-subscribed YouTuber in 2019, Donaldson covered every billboard in his town with ads promoting PewDiePie. He even went to the Super Bowl with friends wearing T-shirts that together spelled out "SUB 2 PEW DIE PIE."

Now, the MrBeast channel gained an impressive two million subscribers in just one day, which took T-Series an entire month to reach. This fast growth makes it unlikely that T-Series will catch up anytime soon.
