Alleged Ticketmaster Data Breach Sees 560 Million Users' Info for Sale in Hacking Forum

1.3 TB of Stolen User Data.

Ticketmaster has reportedly been breached by the hacking group ShinyHunters, as claimed by the group. The breach compromises the sensitive data of 560 million users, as it is currently on sale for $500,000 in a hacking forum.

Allegedly, ShinyHunters gained access to many private user data, including complete names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, order information, and partial credit card information. The last four digits of credit card numbers, expiration dates, customer names, and even information on customer fraud are among the specific payment data exposed.

If confirmed, the data breach might have serious repercussions for the impacted users, including the possibility of identity theft, financial fraud, and other cyberattacks. The hacker gang's daring move to sell this data further demonstrates the threat that cybercrime poses and the increasing sophistication of these adversaries.

According to the infamous hacker collective ShinyHunters, Ticketmaster-Live Nation's security was broken, exposing the personal information of an astounding 560 million members. Now, Breach Forums is offering this enormous 1.3 terabyte of data for a one-time sale of $500,000.

Ticketmaster, the US-based ticket-selling company, could potentially be another major firm this month to confirm it suffered a data breach within its systems.

ARRL Data Breach

The American Radio Relay League (ARRL), the country's leading amateur radio group, recently revealed on May 19 that it had been the victim of a cyberattack that compromised several services and network infrastructure.

The malware significantly impacted the organization's "Logbook of The World," which allows amateur radio enthusiasts to share digital logs of successful connections (QSO) and user confirmations.

In addition to offering technical assistance, the ARRL organizes national conferences, provides education for enthusiasts, and speaks on behalf of amateur radio interests before regulatory agencies. The ARRL reported that a hack had disrupted its systems and network, affecting multiple hosted internet services.

Sav-RX Data Breach

Healthcare is the industry that has seen the most recent cyberattacks. Sav-Rx, a US-based prescription company, reportedly revealed a data breach last Tuesday, May 28, affecting the essential but non-clinical personal information of 2.8 million consumers.

Prescription drug management services are provided nationally to unions, corporations, and other organizations by pharmacy benefit management (PBM) provider A&A Services, doing business as Sav-RX.

The company allegedly notified the Maine Attorney General's office last Friday of a cybersecurity incident in October 2023 that exposed the personal information of 2,812,336 individuals. The healthcare institution states that an unauthorized third party accessing some non-clinical systems could view personal data files.

Its commercial operations were not severely disrupted, and neither the processing of pharmacy claims nor the delivery of medical prescriptions was held up. It just took a day for their systems to be operational again, but it took much longer to ascertain whether personal information had been compromised.
